Summer-Time Favorites: Peach Cobbler
What goes better with a great backyard barbecue than a fantastic dessert? This super easy peach cobbler is a winner! Served with vanilla ice cream, this recipe is sure to be a hit.
I cut this recipe down to serve two, however I will make this adjust the measurements to make a cobbler that will serve 8.

Lechon Asado con plátanos--Cuban Pork Roast With Plantains
This dish was inspired by the meal that Chef Matt enjoyed in Key West at El Meson De Pepe (full review for this wonderful restaurant can be found at The Goode Life .)
Fried sweet plantains and yellow rice compliment this Cuban Pork Roast perfectly!
Lechon Asado is a Cuban pork roast that has been marinated to make it juicy and tender. The roast will take 24 hours to marinade, so prepare in advance.
If you have been searching for a different side dish to go with your meal try these sweet plantains. They are not difficult to make at all, and they are simply delicious.

From Scratch: Hot & Fresh Kolaches
Nothing makes waking up better than a fresh, hot kolache. However, these sausage rolls aren't only intended for mornings. Kolaches can be enjoyed any time of the day! I made these on a Friday evening so that breakfast would be all ready to go on Saturday morning. Well these beauties looked and smelled so wonderful, they ended up becoming Friday night dinner as well as Saturday's breakfast.

Budget-Friendly Meals: Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki
I just love our slow cooker. Having a great meal that is completely cooked by the end of the day is so wonderful! Also, if you haven't yet bought a slow cooker we highly recommend it because it never gets old finding new and exciting dishes to make with it. The bonus is the amazing smells that fill the house for the entire day. This is the slow cooker we have and it's never let us down.
This delicious meal has little prep time--20 minutes at the very most. Serve the slow cooker chicken teriyaki with rice and egg rolls.

What's For Dessert: Sopapilla Time
So maybe you want sopapillas for dessert, hey it happens especially after you eat some great Mexican food. Maybe, your at home and you just finished up that meal so what do you do? Ok, I got a solution for you but I hope you have at least a small fryer to make it work (not too hard to come by, a little secret, I got mine for about $20-25, nothing fancy but hey it frys just the same as a more expensive model would). I'm sure glad I made the purchase because while I try not to fry a whole lot of food, its come in handy more than once.
